College football live scores, games: Alabama at LSU and more

Week 11 was supposed to be a showcase of the SEC and instead it was the ACC that captured the nation’s attention early on.

No. 4 Miami played with fire all season and the Hurricanes finally prevailed after a late fumble doomed their comeback attempt at Georgia Tech.

However, the SEC still had all the glory later in the day. In the afternoon marquee, No. 16 Ole Miss scored perhaps the biggest win of Lane Kiffin’s tenure by defeating No. 3 Georgia. And there’s still a showdown between No. 11 Alabama and No. 14 LSU.

Elsewhere, No. 20 Colorado held off Texas Tech, boosting its Big 12 title game hopes in the process, while Iowa State stumbled from a second straight loss. And Jeremiah Smith set an Ohio State freshman record by passing the legendary Cris Carter with his ninth TD catch of the season.

Here’s what we’ll be keeping an eye on late Saturday.

Time: 7:30 p.m. | TV: ABC | Line: Alabama -3 | Overall: 58.5

The loser is certain to be out of the College Football Playoff race if they lose the season for the third time, barring a wild ending. Will LSU’s defense be able to hold up against dual-threat Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe? Alabama needs to show a lot more composure than in the last away game. The Crimson Tide were penalized 69 times in eight games. The nightly crowds at Tiger Stadium won’t make it easy.

Time: 10:15 p.m. ET | TV: ESPN | Line: BYU -4 | Overall: 40.5

The two heated rivals will meet for the first time since 2021 and for the first time as Big 12 members. Utah desperately needs a win after losing its last four Big 12 games, and the Utes would love to spoil BYU’s perfect season. The Cougars’ ability to force turnovers is a big reason for their 8-0 record. Can they hold out in the Holy War this week?
