Country singer Tanner Frick unexpectedly leaves “The Voice,” leaving Michael Bublé’s team ahead of the Knockout Round

Before the Knockouts Phase The voiceTanner Frick was eliminated from the competition.

On Monday’s episode of the NBC singing competition, host Carson Daly told coach Michael Bublé that his contestant had left the show.

“Michael, Tanner [Frick] left the competition after rehearsals. You still have Cameron [Wright] and Sloane [Simon]” said Daly, noting that Frick “left the competition after rehearsals.”

Frick didn’t reveal the reason for his exit, but shared a video on TikTok of himself singing and captioned the post: “Nobody wants me anyway.”

The singer auditioned for the coaches and sang “Thought You Should Know” by Morgan Wallen, which made the four coaches turn their chairs. Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani were captivated by Frick’s voice and fought to have him on their team.

Frick chose McEntire and heading into the Battles round of the competition, the hopeful sang Jelly Roll’s “Need a Favour” against fellow country singer Tate Renner. McEntire chose Renner to continue on her team, but Bublé came in to save him from elimination and join his team.

“Tanner Frick was a big win for me,” Bublé said. “It’s a former four-chair turn and a piece of the puzzle I didn’t have.”

Bublé continued, “I needed that country singer and now I feel like I’m all in. It’s a brave new world we’re about to move into.”
