Detroit Lions announce performers for 2024 Thanksgiving halftime show

On Sunday morning, the Detroit Lions announced that Shaboozey will be the halftime starter for their classic 2024 Thanksgiving Day game – the 85th game of the Lions’ tradition.

Shaboozey has no ties to Detroit, but is a six-time Grammy nominee. He recently came into the spotlight when he collaborated with Beyoncé on her latest album, Cowboy Carter. Shaboozey mixes hip-hop and country and is probably best known for his hit single “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

The Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game is scheduled for Thursday, November 28th at 12:30 p.m. ET. They face the Chicago Bears and it will be broadcast nationally on CBS.

Last year, Jack Harlow performed at the Lions’ Thanksgiving halftime show. Previous artists on the show include Bebe Rexha, Big Sean, Kid Rock and Nickelback.

The Lions lost seven straight games on Thanksgiving. Their last win was a thrilling 16-13 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
