The Disney Channel alum and new mother is expecting a child with her boyfriend.

Calling all “Jessie” fans! The youngest of the Ross clan becomes a mother.

Skai Jackson, who played Zuri Ross on the Disney Channel sitcom with Debby Ryan, announced that she is pregnant with her first child in a statement to People magazine released on Tuesday.

Jackson, 22, is expecting a child with her boyfriend, whose name has not been publicly revealed.

“I’m excited to begin this new chapter in my life – embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects,” Jackson told the outlet. “My heart is so full!”

Jackson’s pregnancy follows the actress’ recent run-in with the law. Jackson was arrested on August 9 on suspicion of domestic assault, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to USA TODAY at the time. The former child star was arrested during an outing at Universal Studios Hollywood after she was found to be “the main perpetrator” of the domestic incident.

Universal Studios security reportedly alerted police after seeing Jackson push her boyfriend more than once, according to TMZ. Authorities then reviewed surveillance footage from the LA theme park that allegedly showed Jackson pushing the unidentified victim, according to People Magazine and the Los Angeles Times.

No injuries were reported following the altercation, the LASD spokesman told USA TODAY. Jackson was taken to the LASD station in West Hollywood for booking and released several hours later.

In an interview with People magazine in 2023, Jackson expressed that being a role model comes with “a lot of pressure,” telling the magazine, “At the end of the day, I think of myself as the normal person that people “just like it.” or enjoy it.”

“It’s very important for me to give the right message, always be positive and give good advice to my fans,” Jackson added. “Let them know that whatever they want to do in life, they can achieve it.”

Jackson’s final role was an appearance in the 2023 thriller The Man in the White Van, directed by Warren Skeels.
