Donovan Mitchell, cavalier of the game, wins over the Bulls

The Cleveland Cavaliers are still undefeated thanks to a tough road win against the Chicago Bulls.

Donovan Mitchell – Cavalier of the Game

I was thinking about working with Darius Garland because he’s another impressive performer, or Ty Jerome because he provided a spark off the bench. I even thought about giving it to Kenny Atkinson because he continues to push the right buttons for this team. But in the end, you can’t overlook Mitchell’s 36 points.

Mitchell kept the Cavs in the game with 25 points in the first half. Cleveland’s defense was a bit slower in the first two quarters as they gave up over 30 points in both frames. They would have been completely out of the game if Mitchell hadn’t scored enough goals for the Cavaliers to keep up.

He was also instrumental in the victory. Garland made the crucial plays, but Mitchell’s 10 points, steal and assist in the fourth quarter put Garland in position to ice the game again and leave the Bulls fan hanging.

Mitchell did this too, which is easily the most impressive Cavs highlight of the season

Mitchell didn’t have to wear them very often for 48 minutes in that perfect start. However, he was there when they needed him, like against the Bulls.

Tony Pesta had a nice summary of what made Garland so good in the clutch.
