Dwight Howard won’t add one Dancing with the stars Championship to his 2020 NBA Championship.

The former NBA big man was eliminated in Tuesday’s episode, which was also the 500th episode in the show’s history. This story was the theme as the couples honored previous, memorable performances while adding their own style to the dances.

Additionally, there was also an instant dance challenge where participants learned about the dance style and song just five minutes before the performance.

Ultimately, Howard was the one sent home after the jury’s results were combined with the live voting. The other athletes were luckier, as Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and her partner Alan Bersten were announced as the first couples to be safe.

Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and his partner Rylee Arnold and former NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola and his partner Witney Carson also reached the semifinals.

There were some reactions to Howard’s exit on social media:

I’m sorry, but did anyone else notice that during the costumes, Dwight just stood there like he just didn’t want to do it? I need this man to go home tonight. #DWTS pic.twitter.com/knBZeIQ1vR

Howard and his partner Daniella Karagach performed an Argentine tango and did quite well before attempting a paso doble in the Instant Dance Challenge.

They didn’t do enough to impress the judges or the live viewers voting, which spelled their end.

At least he still has a list of accomplishments that includes this championship, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, eight All-NBA selections and eight All-Star Game nominations for not being able to match the results of his Fellow athletes achieve this competition.
