Elon Musk responds to Dana Carvey’s ‘SNL’ impression

Thin-skinned as ever, Elon Musk does his best impression of Donald Trump in his anger over Dana Carvey’s newly revealed impression of him.

Hours after the comic legend appeared Saturday Night LiveIn this weekend’s post-election episode, the world’s richest man took to the social media platform he owns to complain about the crisis and the state of Lorne Micheal’s show in general.

He wrote on X: “SNL has been slowly dying out for years as they increasingly lose touch with reality. Her last-ditch attempt to circumvent the same airtime requirements and support Kamala before the election only served to further weaken her campaign.”

“They’re so mad that @realDonaldTrump won,” Musk added in another post with two laughing emojis, responding to images of Carvey wearing his “dark goth MAGA hat.”

Musk, who hosted the show for its 46th season in 2021 with impressive ratings, also contradicted Carvey’s impression of him. “Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey,” he added in another post.

Carvey’s impression came during the episode’s cold opening, in which the cast jokingly pandered to Trump after the president-elect threatened his opponents and called Democrats the “enemy within.” They then introduced James Austin Johnson’s flattering new “Hot Jacked Trump” and Carvey as “the other man we love and trust, Elon Musk.”

“In order!” Carvey said as he jumped and danced on stage and pointed to his hat. “Look at it, dark MAGA. Yes! But seriously, I run the country now. America will be like one of my rockets, which is super cool and super fun. But there is a small chance it will explode and everyone will die.”

Carvey laughed as Musk before continuing to jump up and down and chant, “I’m Dark MAGA!” Steal the White House! USA! USA!”

The sketch comes after Musk campaigned for Trump in the black MAGA hat and giddily jumped up and down at the twice-impeached president’s Pennsylvania rally last month. He also began giving away $1 million a day to swing voters in the states.

Trump has since said that while Musk “doesn’t want to be in the Cabinet,” he is “eager” to be “in charge of cost cutting.”

Oddly enough, while Musk was complaining about being messed up SNLthe 45th and soon to be 47th POTUS has said nothing yet. Perhaps Trump appreciated the pledges of loyalty, even in jest, or James Austin Johnson’s now shirtless, headscarf-wearing Trump.

However, we will update this post if Trump responds
