Person dies in fall at UCSD’s Geisel Library

UC San Diego’s Geisel Library reopened the day after an unknown person died in a fall from the library’s eighth-floor stairwell on Nov. 6 Triton Campus newspaper reported.

According to police, the fall occurred around 11:35 a.m Tritonand campus police and library staff closed the library and evacuated patrons.

The university said the case poses no threat to the campus community.

UCSD’s Counseling and Psychological Services Office began accepting spontaneous appointments in light of the death, the campus newspaper reported.
