Fighting Human Trafficking: A New Beginning for a Frightened Young Woman

They hide among us – and they’re good at it. Maybe that’s why most people barely notice people like Leah, if at all. Leah, 16 years old, was unexpectedly lured into the world of human trafficking and for far too long lived a life that no person of any age should ever have to endure.

Now Leah is one of the lucky ones. After struggling with addiction and constantly finding herself in unsafe, compromising situations, she found hope at the Las Vegas Send Relief Ministry Center. The team members there paired her with a mentor who will advocate for her and support her on her journey to addiction and recovery. This showed Leah what a healthy, trusting relationship looks like.

Now she is fighting to get sober and taking active steps to live a restored life. She has learned that she is worth fighting for and that her life has meaning. And most importantly, she understands what Christians really mean when they talk about “the love of Christ.”

Because of your gifts, many men and women are hearing and responding to the gospel through our Las Vegas Ministry Center. Las Vegas has been classified by the FBI as a “high child prostitution area.” It is estimated that between 20 and 40 million people of all ages are trapped in modern slavery worldwide.

With the gifts shown here you can do something good for someone in need.
