Want to stay up to date on Tuesday’s ongoing election results without constantly checking news and social media sites? Apple has a solution – at least for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch users.

Starting late Tuesday, Apple News will display the election results with real-time updates on your device’s Home screen and Lock screen. iPhone owners can view the results via the Live Activity feature, where the information is displayed at the top of the Dynamic Island panel.

To activate this, simply open Apple News on your device. Under “Top Stories” or “Special Coverage,” look for a headline that says “Follow the election live.” Tap the little clock icon next to it and a message will appear informing you that you have a live activity have planned. When the event starts, you will receive real-time updates on your home screen and lock screen.

The message does not reveal when exactly the results will be available, other than tonight. But as television networks, news sites and other sources begin reporting the preliminary results, Apple’s reporting will likely come into play as well.

According to AppleInsider, the lock screen on iPhone and iPad displays a large and interactive widget that takes you to the latest election coverage. The Dynamic Island continuously displays voter count updates for each candidate, but of course only on devices that support this feature. Apple Watch wearers can view the live activity feed via widgets on the Smart Stack.
