Football tips for Thursday: Win the treble with Pedro against Porto at 8/1

Support Pedro, who was involved in a goal for Lazio against Porto

Lazio vs PortoThursday, November 7th, 8:00 p.m. kick-offLive on TNT Sports Extra & Discovery+

It’s three wins from three with nine goals and just one conceded for Lazio in their perfect start to the Europa League, but after a good fixture list, the visit of Porto looks to mean a step up in league.

The Portuguese team won their first game of the season against Hoffenheim last time out after suffering a major slip-up at Bodo/Glimt and then blowing a lead against Man Utd.

Lazio have won their last five games in Rome and are unbeaten in 13 games at home in all competitions, while Porto have won their last six games, so both teams are in strong form that could turn into a cracker.

Experienced Spaniard Pedro may be 37, but he’s proven he’s still got it with five goals and two assists in ten appearances – six of them as a substitute.

However, he has the experience and cunning that is characteristic of European football, so that he has started all three Europa League games so far and shone with two goals and two assists.

Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia gets the nod for our Lazio goal scorer in Bet Builder – with a tally of 13 from 14 games this season.

He also prepared well for this with his last goal against Cagliari.

Porto’s young Spanish striker Samu Omorodion has been in fantastic form this season, with the 20-year-old scoring 11 goals in just 10 games so far.

He scored a goal in seven of these ten games, including all three Europa League games – with at least two shots on goal in each.

It’s hard to decide which path to take, but just with the added quality of Lazio and the fact that Omorodion is playing at the Stadio Olimpico, he may no longer get the quality of chances he had before and therefore might be forced to take shots from greater distances.
