Garth Brooks is taking a new step in the sexual abuse scandal

Garth Brooks’ legal team has filed a “motion” regarding the country icon’s sexual assault case.

Legal expert Tre Lovell told the publication that the 62-year-old singer’s “advantages of going to federal court are several things.”

“Typically, it is easier to seal motions and you usually get a quicker trial date. “Judges are also more likely to dismiss a case,” Lovell added.

Brooks’ latest move coincides with recent allegations that he raped a makeup artist named Jane Roe, who formerly worked for his wife. This emerges from a lawsuit filed on October 3, 2024 in a state court in California.

The accuser worked for the country singer and his wife Trisha Yearwood before and during the period in which the assaults occurred, adding that her financial hardship made her an easy target for Brooks.

Brooks’ accuser alleged that the singer raped and sexually assaulted her on separate occasions in 2019.

However, Brooks denied the claims hours later, branding it a “hush money” investigation.
