Donald Trump’s return to power is both the most unlikely of political comebacks and an American horror story. The continuation of the Trump era, one of the ugliest and most contentious in American history, will likely only divide us further. His victory over Kamala Harris is a setback for the rule of law, reproductive health and the climate – and that’s just the beginning. But losing a major battle does not mean that participating in politics is no longer worthwhile. On the contrary, over the next four years, hard work will be more important than ever.
