The leak joins a long list of data breaches and leaks within the Israeli security and political establishment since Israel’s war on Gaza began in October 2023.

A number of government departments have been affected by cyberattacks and data breaches in recent years, including the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense, nuclear research centers and other government institutions.
