IRS and other federal agencies swarm Alfie Oakes’ home and business in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. – Multiple law enforcement agencies surrounded the home of prominent Republican politician and donor Alfie Oakes on Thursday.

A US Department of Defense spokesperson confirmed that Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) agents were conducting “official law enforcement operations” at the home.

DCIS typically investigates cases of fraud, bribery and corruption. However, the agency did not provide any further information about the reason for their visit.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) was also on scene to assist.

A neighbor who arrived shortly after the news broke shared his reaction with Fox 4 News. “I’m shocked but not surprised,” she said. “I was on my way home when a few people texted me and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have to see what’s going on,'” she added.

The IRS has confirmed that its agents were conducting official business, but it remains unclear why they visited Oakes’ home in this manner.

Oakes was later seen leaving his home and getting into his blue “Trump 2024” car. When asked about the situation, he replied, “Go Trump,” but did not answer any further questions.

Agents also investigated Oakes Farms in Immokalee. The site is a packing facility that is one of the largest independent agricultural operations in South Florida, according to the company’s website.

The company says it aims to reach a global market through agriculture, packaging, shipping and retail, foodservice and seafood distribution.

Alfie Oakes is also a former politician. Until this year, he was a member of the Collier County Republican Party Committee. He is also an ambassador for Turning Point USA.

He was born in Delaware but grew up in Fort Myers.

According to the U.S. Department of Defense Inspector General (OIG), agents are on site at Alfie Oakes’ Naples home and his Immokalee packing house.

“We can confirm the presence of Defense Criminal Investigative Services (DCIS) agents conducting law enforcement at this address, but cannot provide any further information at this time.”

Oakes is the owner of Seed to Table Grocery Store and Oakes Farms.

According to the Government Publishing Office (GPO), the OIG investigates allegations of fraud related to “GPO contracts, deficiencies in the management of GPO programs and operations, allegations of employee misconduct, and other GPO-related issues reported through the OIG hotline have been received”.

The GPO states that it “produces and distributes information products and services for all three branches of the federal government, including U.S. passports for the Department of State and the official publications of Congress, the White House, and other federal agencies in digital and print formats.” “
