Jacob Foss from Pembroke dies in a motorcycle accident

NORWELL – A 28-year-old Pembroke man driving a motorcycle was killed by a pickup truck Thursday, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Norwell Police Chief Edward Lee.

The driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling west on Pond Street attempting to make a left turn into a store around 1:30 p.m. when the truck appeared to be struck on the passenger side by a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Jacob Foss, according to a report.

Foss was taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, where he was pronounced dead. The Toyota driver was also taken to South Shore Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The accident limited traffic on Pond Street to one lane for several hours. An investigation by state and Norwell police is ongoing.
