Jaylen Brown, Luke Kornet and more

The Boston Celtics lost their second game of the season on Wednesday and ended up brutally defeated by the Golden State Warriors. They climbed back to the top after a difficult first half, but a series of Golden State offensive rebounds stymied a comeback for the Celtics. Now they welcome the Brooklyn Nets to TD Garden on Friday.

Brooklyn has been one of the surprises of the NBA season so far. They weren’t incredible, but considering most thought they were one of the worst teams in the league, they were solid. The Nets opened the season 4-4 and are heading to TD Garden hoping to upset the Celtics.

Here are the injury reports for the Celtics’ game against the Nets on Friday, November 8th.

Kristaps Porzingis stays out. He underwent offseason surgery to repair a rare foot injury sustained in the NBA Finals. The big man is expected to return sometime in or around December.

On the other hand, Jaylen Brown A more recent addition is the injury report. Friday night against the Nets will be the fourth straight game he has missed due to a hip problem.

Brown is dealing with a left hip flexor strain and has reportedly undergone an MRI scan (a second one, as he reportedly got one this summer). Joe Mazzulla said neither he nor Brown were too worried about the illness.

About the start of the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Warriors, the Celtics were in control Luke Kornet canceled due to tension in the right thigh muscles. He is now listed as questionable ahead of Friday’s game against the Nets.

Noah Clowney is dealing with an illness, so it is questionable whether he will play on Friday evening.

In the meantime, Bojan Bogdanovic, Day’Ron SharpeAnd Trendon Watford will not play against the Celtics. Bogdanovic has a foot problem and has not played a game this year. Neither Sharpe nor Watford have played in a game so far this season.
