Jimmy Kimmel discovered a major news story from Donald Trump that he said received so little attention that he “didn’t even get a news story” about it

Jimmy Kimmel summed up the mood across the country as the election campaign between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump reached its final hours.

“It feels like the whole country is waiting for the results of a biopsy,” he said Monday evening.

Kimmel said he was amazed that the sensational newly released audio recordings of recently convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein bragging that he was Trump’s “closest friend” for a decade have received so little attention.

“Remember when Mitt Romney went down for putting a dog carrier on the roof of his car?” Kimmel asked. “We just watched 100 hours of Jeffrey Epstein saying he and Trump were best friends. I didn’t even get a notification about it on my phone.”

Kimmel recapped some of the former president’s bizarre rants, ramblings and digressions during his recent rallies, from lies about crowd size to attacks on the media to a bizarre moment with a microphone.

The late-night host then gave his own “closing statement” for Election Day.

“Forget which side you are on. I want you to take a moment and imagine a world where you wake up in the morning, read the news, and no one says the words ‘Donald’ or ‘Trump,'” he said. “Wouldn’t that be nice? No lawn signs. No red hats. No arguing with your grandfather. You check the sports, Al Roker takes care of the weather, and you head to work. … Let’s remove this cancerous polyp from our collective national colon and move on already.”
