Las Vegas police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident in the Central Valley Wednesday morning.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred around 5:57 a.m. at Meade Avenue and Sheridan Street. An initial investigation revealed a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Meade while a Hyundai sedan was traveling westbound.

According to police, the Hyundai turned left in front of the motorcycle and crashed into the sedan. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and later died at the scene of the accident.

The Hyundai driver remained at the scene and police say impairment is not suspected.

LVMPD detectives are responding to the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
