LeBron James dreamed he was playing for Coach K at Duke before Snoop and Dr. Dre gave a concert | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

B/R

Duke fans have certainly dreamed of LeBron James playing for the Blue Devils in the past.

Now the king also dreamed of it.

James took to social media Sunday morning and said he dreamed he was playing for legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski at Cameron Indoor Stadium. He said it was “an honor for the former Duke coach to suit up,” although the dream took a much different turn than a concert with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre burst out:

LeBron James @King James

It was a concert. Snoop & Dre were the performers and performed the song “The Next Episode”. The roof in Cameron almost fell off! Ha-Ha. Then my ⏰ went out and I woke up. 😱😁

The Los Angeles Lakers star never played in college and went straight to the NBA from high school as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 draft.

At the time, there were no rules preventing high school graduates from going straight to the NBA, although he has spoken in the past when making his decision about where he would have played if today’s restrictions were in place.

James has said Previously, he would have played at his home state school, Ohio State, although he also hinted that he would have gone to Duke or North Carolina.

Krzyzewski would have made quite an impression in recruiting, and Ohio State, North Carolina and others might have been disappointed with the end result of the process. The Blue Devils also reached the Final Four in the 2003-04 season when James could have started for them, and it’s not hard to imagine him taking them another step toward a national title.

The future Hall of Famer at least got the opportunity to play for Krzyzewski later in his career.

Coach K led the United States Men’s National Team to three consecutive Olympic gold medals in 2008, 2012 and 2016. James was a member of the 2008 Beijing team and the 2012 London team, and neither of those teams lost in Olympic competition.

Basketball fans got the chance to see the legendary player in international uniform for the legendary coach, but James taking to the court at Cameron Indoor Stadium remains a dream.
