New details emerged this week in the investigation into Liam Payne’s death.

According to sources close to the investigation, authorities are now focusing on three people of interest.

The sources told ABC News that authorities conducted nine raids this week. The raids also included the homes of two hotel employees, two escorts and a friend of the pop star.

Police seized possible evidence, including cell phones, marijuana, a hard drive and three laptops.

Investigators also searched hotel staff lockers and reviewed security footage from the hotel.

Multiple sources told ABC News that hotel surveillance cameras show drug buys involving a hotel employee and a drug dealer.

Payne fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina on October 16.

Photos from the singer’s hotel room after his death show a broken television and drugs scattered on a table.

An autopsy revealed that there was a dangerous drug cocktail in Payne’s body when he died.

The police are now actively looking for the drug dealer.

Payne has long been open about his battle with addiction.

In July 2023, he posted a video in which he said that he was sober for six months after treatment.
