Malik Nabers injury: Giants WR hits his head and leaves game against Panthers

Early in the fourth quarter of the Giants’ showdown against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, the New York wide receiver Malik Nabers Left the game after suffering an apparent head injury. Nabers immediately entered the injury tent after being helped off the field.

According to the release, Nabers received a report for a concussion. However, Nabers came back into the game on the final play of the drive after the team’s coaches concluded that Nabers could continue playing.

As of this writing, Nabers has three catches for 31 yards and the Giants trail the Panthers 17-14. It was a relatively quiet day for Nabers, who had an outstanding debut season.

Nabers came into Sunday’s game with 55 catches for 557 yards and three touchdowns. Nabers’ 557 yards were the third-most of any rookie through the first nine weeks of the season, behind only Brian Thomas Jr. and Brock Bowers.
