Man accused of attacking elderly, disabled man in chapel

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Baton Rouge police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked an elderly, disabled man at a chapel.

According to Capital Regions Crime Stoppers, 40-year-old William Joseph Breen III is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, institutional vandalism, cruelty to the sick, aggravated criminal damage to property and aggravated burglary.

Officials said Breen entered a religious chapel on Saturday evening, November 2, and began attacking an 81-year-old disabled man who was inside. He is said to have beaten the man with chairs, knee supports and his hands.

Medical personnel treated the victim.

Officials say Breen has a history of violent attacks.
