play

‘Tis the season for the return of seasonal menus at McDonald’s. It’s not just about spicy Chicken McNuggets and the McRib sandwich.

The fast food chain is bringing back its limited seasonal menu item, the Holiday Pie. The treat has already been spotted by fans at McDonald’s restaurants in various states, including Michigan and Kentucky.

The McDonald’s Holiday Pie is 260 calories and features a creamy custard in a flaky, icing crust and topped with rainbow sprinkles. The dessert has been available in limited quantities every year since 1999. While it’s only available at participating locations for a limited time, the cake has appeared at a number of McDonald’s locations in Kentucky, Michigan and other locations.

“Sighted at multiple locations in Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Arkansas and Pennsylvania so far,” reads a Nov. 10 Instagram post from social media foodie markie_devo. “They should be at most participating locations by the end of this week.” If the speculation proves true, the Holiday Pie is expected to return around November 15th.

When will McDonald’s Holiday Pie return to Ohio?

Holiday pie fans in Ohio craving the delicious pastry can now head to Michigan or Kentucky to satisfy their craving, but it could soon be returning to the Buckeye State.

Last year the cake came back on November 15th. In 2022, it hit the market around the end of November, according to Eat This, Not That.

Due to the slow rollout, fans are encouraged to check the app every day to see when and where the cake is available.

While there’s no clear answer as to the exact date of the Holiday Pie’s return to McDonald’s restaurants in Ohio, in the meantime, you can snag Krispy Kreme donuts at the restaurants as well as the newly released Happy Meal based on the popular sitcom “Friends” from the 90s.”
