Mike Tyson calls fight with Jake Paul “the greatest of his career”

The rescheduled Netflix fight between heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) and YouTuber Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) finally arrives this week.

It’s time to fight!

Tyson and Paul will test the Dukes on Friday night in Arlington, Texas. And Mike Tyson calls it that largest fight of his career.

“Friday night you can look forward to seeing that man Jake Paul get beaten badly,” Tyson told TMZ on Tuesday. “My intention is to knock him out.”

“There’s never been a fight this big,” Tyson added.

For a man who headlined marquee fights in the late ’80s, it sounds crazy that Tyson would consider an online influencer wearing boxing gloves to be his biggest opponent.

Does “The Baddest Man on the Planet” still have it all?

At 58, Tyson takes on Jake Paul, a 27-year-old who has amassed a fortune through internet fame, in eight two-minute rounds.

Standard boxing matches last between 10 and 12 rounds of three minutes each.

Paul is not a serious fighter, but there must be some value in getting a victory over the mighty Mike Tyson.

As OutKick’s Sean Joseph wrote, even Paul’s girlfriend warns her husband not to treat Tyson like child’s play. Tyson is a dog that can still hunt.

The fight between Tyson and Paul was originally scheduled for July 20, but was ultimately postponed after the legend suffered a brief medical attack during a flight.

Tyson even said he would die in the ring while fighting Jake Paul.

The main card at AT&T Stadium begins at 8:00 p.m. ET.
