Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight predictions: Boxing champions, legends and trainers make their decisions

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson will be the biggest combat sports event of the year. Everyone from boxing legends to reigning undisputed champions is weighing in on Friday’s Netflix boxing debut.

Nostalgia is a powerful thing and many people are rooting for former undisputed heavyweight champion “Iron” Mike from a betting perspective. The more skeptical soothsayers side with Paul’s 31-year-old youth and his relative boxing success. Whichever side you’re on, there’s a morbid curiosity about the whole thing.

Boxing legends Roy Jones Jr. and Lennox Lewis, active superstars such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as well as other parties relevant to Tyson and Paul have expressed their views on the fight. Look at who is siding with Tyson or Paul in the boxing world.

Also on the card is a massive rematch for the undisputed women’s lightweight crown as world champion Katie Taylor takes on Amanda Serrano. The two first met at Madison Square Garden – the first women’s boxing match in history to headline the venue – where Taylor made a controversial decision in April 2022. Taylor has since secured the undisputed junior welterweight crown, which are the titles she will contest in Saturday’s matchup.

FanDuel offers odds for every aspect of Tyson vs. Paul as well as Friday’s undercard. Check out the latest FanDuel Promo to get into the action.

Tyson Fury: “Listen, if Mike Tyson beats someone, I don’t care if he’s 90, he’s going to knock them out, isn’t he? Obviously I have to support Mike Tyson. I’m named after the legend and I’ll support him like he always supports me when it comes to the knockout. (The stomping ground)

Manny Pacquiao: “I don’t think so,” Pacquiao said when asked if Paul can beat Tyson (Fight Hub TV)

Anthony Joshua: “[Mike Tyson] is older now…I pray he comes out healthy. I think Jake Paul [wins] because of the youth. That’s the only thing.” (The Jonathan Ross Show)

Roy Jones Jr.: “I believe in Mike, probably through a decision. But if he wants to end it, he can. However, if he just wants to enjoy the fight, maybe he’ll slow down and have some fun… I’m not worried.” Mike and his age are still hard to hit, and he hits like a truck. (MMA NYTT)

Logan Paul: “Let’s go, Jake!” Mike Tyson, you don’t even know. You’re messing with the Pauls, man. Let’s go, Jake. First round knockout. Yeet!” (Logan’s Instagram)

Lennox Lewis: “Mike Tyson will win. He’s not that old yet. Don’t take him too gently. We’re a year apart. You can fight someone like that and get good results because the person you’re fighting is not a real fighter, and there are a hundred things you’ve forgotten and he’s learning. (The Pulse)

Nate Diaz: “I’m with Mike all the time. Mike is the man, you already know that. Jake is young and explosive and has nothing to lose in any fight. That’s what I think sets him apart. Everything will change. He’s the guy who’s supposed to win. I think this will be a little different. (All the smoke)

Teddy Atlas: “The first few minutes might be a little risky for Paul against a guy who was the youngest heavyweight champion and a guy with one of the greatest combinations of speed and power in the history of the heavyweight division. For a round or two it might be a bit hairy? Yes. If he doesn’t catch him… then the gas tank will start sputtering… then the young man will have the advantage… It’s not that he doesn’t know how to do it. Put his knuckles on your face. The question is how much he has left in his body. 58 (years old) is not the same 58 when I was 21. (seconds out)

Larry Holmes: “I watched a clip of Mike Tyson this morning and all I can say is that Jake Paul better be ready when he fights Mike. Mike will be able to last the two minute rounds. “Mike comes to fight when he bets.” He gets to work. And this is what I saw today… If Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul was a table match in Las Vegas, I would put all my money on Iron Mike… Mike Tyson doesn’t care about anything. He will fight you now even when he is out of shape at all, and if he does, it will be all over. He won’t take any hits in training. If I’m going to bet my money, it’s on Mike. (OLGB)

David Benavidez: “It will be a good fight. The only thing that worries me is Mike Tyson’s age, but Mike Tyson will always be a fighter at heart, you know what I mean? So it really just depends on how he prepares…Jake Paul, I.” I think he knows he needs to prepare, but hopefully it’s not too crazy bro, but if Mike goes out there and Jake has a good one Night there We will not be surprised that Mike is a world champion, a fighter at heart. (cigar talk)

Oscar De La Hoya: “If it takes three or four rounds, I have to go through with Tyson by knockout, that one-punch knockout. If it goes beyond four rounds, I have to worry about Tyson’s conditioning and where Jake Paul’s youth can take over. I did.’ I’ve seen the videos of Jake Paul, he looks big, he looks huge. (Fight Hub TV)

Amir Khan: “I just feel like he can really hurt Jake Paul. I just can’t believe what Jake Paul is thinking.” (Gambling Zone)

Le’Veon Bell: “I think he beats Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson will obviously look great for his age. But at the end of the day, Jake Paul did it, he stuck with it and he’s done it now.” (The Schmo)
