The fight card between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is official at seven fights as the eyes of the sports world turn to Dallas ahead of what is likely to be a wild and star-studded week. At the top of the list is a blockbuster – albeit controversial – professional boxing showdown on November 15 between former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-pugilist Jake Paul.

Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) and Paul (10-1, 7 KOs) face off in a professional bout with changed rules, featuring eight two-minute rounds instead of the usual three-minute rounds in men’s professional boxing. Both participants will also wear heavier 14-ounce gloves instead of the usual 10-ounce gloves.

The event will take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and will be broadcast live on Netflix, free for all subscribers. The main card begins at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Tyson, 58, has not competed professionally since his sixth-round TKO loss to Kevin McBride in 2005. His last action in the ring came in a split draw in a November 2020 exhibition match against fellow Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. He will be nearly three decades older than Paul when the two meet in Dallas.

Paul, 27, has upset many in the combat sports since his stormy entry into professional boxing in 2020, but he has also far exceeded just as many expectations. The former Disney star has defeated a number of athletes from other sports including the NBA (Nate Robinson), MMA (Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren) and most recently bare knuckle boxing (Mike Perry).

Paul’s only defeat in professional boxing came in 2023 via a split decision at the hands of Tommy Fury, the younger brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Many well-known fighters and boxing promoters have criticized the matchmaking between Tyson and Paul and expressed doubts about the competition given the significant age difference between the two fighters.

In the co-feature fight of the evening, Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) and Amanda Serrano (47-2-1, 31 KOs) face off in a long-awaited rematch of their April 2022 thriller, which features the bout of the annual awards from several boxing venues. The 38-year-old Irish Taylor narrowly defeated the 36-year-old Serrano from Puerto Rico by split decision (97-93, 96-94, 94-96) in this first fight and retained her undisputed lightweight title.

Taylor has since become the undisputed two-weight champion by securing the super lightweight belt with a revenge win over Chantelle Cameron. Although Taylor vs. Serrano 2 is a 138-pound catchweight contest, those lightweight titles are on the line in the rematch.
