Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul odds, prediction, date, rules, props: November 15 fight card picks from the boxing expert

Mike Tyson, a two-time heavyweight champion, last held the title in November 1996, two months before his future opponent was born. The 58-year-old legend will face 27-year-old Jake Paul on Friday, November 15, in a fight between a boxing Hall of Famer and an Internet star made famous by YouTube. Paul has amassed a professional record of 10-1, most recently defeating Mike Perry via TKO in July. Tyson hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, when he retired on the chair against Kevin McBride before later announcing his retirement in the ring.

The latest Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson odds from FanDuel list Paul as the -270 favorite (risking $270 to win $100), while Tyson is a +210 underdog. The over/under for total rounds is 5.5 while the battle for distance is +172. Paul’s win by knockout is +110 while Tyson’s win by knockout is +290. The Netflix broadcast begins at 8:00 p.m. ET. Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul predictions

Wise has analyzed the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson and assumes over 5.5 rounds at odds of -150. While the endurance of a 58-year-old is rightly a concern, Tyson managed to go the distance in an eight-round contest against fellow Hall of Fame boxer Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. In his last professional fight in 2005, even though he admitted his heart wasn’t in it, Tyson still managed six rounds. Additionally, the 14-ounce gloves used for this fight are much heavier than the standard 10-ounce gloves used for heavyweight fights, slowing both fighters’ punching power and likely preventing an early knockout.

As for Paul, with one exception, he mostly deals with MMA fighters or hand-picked rookie boxers designed to make him look good. Paul took on Tommy Fury, brother of Tyson Fury, in February 2023 and that fight went the distance. Tommy Fury has only had eight professional fights under his belt while Tyson has 58, and that experience should allow The Baddest Man on the Planet to last at least until the sixth round, making the over (-150) a value pick.
