“My Chemical Romance Announces 2025 Tour Dates for “The Black Parade”

Come, everyone, to this not-so-tragic affair: The Black Parade has returned. My Chemical Romance are celebrating their groundbreaking rock opera album with a 10-date anniversary tour of the US next summer. The band will perform in stadiums from Los Angeles to their hometown under the direction of Gerard Way and accompanied by Ray Toro, Frank Iero and Mikey Way. Each date will feature a different opening act, including rock newcomers IDLES and emo classics Death Cab for Cutie and Thursday.

The tour news comes a day after the band announced the announcement with a cryptic Instagram post with the caption, “If you could be anything, what would you be?” Fans speculated that the post could be a reference to MCR’s scrapped album The paper kingdom.

Last month, MCR revived the iconic album at the When We Were Young music festival in Las Vegas in October, where they performed “The Black Parade” in its entirety. Since its release in 2006, the concept album has received widespread acclaim in the emo music scene and beyond. Rolling Stone named it one of the “Greatest 500 Albums of All Time.”
