NBA fans react to JJ Redick leaving press conference after Lakers-Grizzlies

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 131-114 and were 4-4 in their first eight games.

The road trip was extremely disappointing as they only went 1-4.

After the tough loss, JJ Redick met with the media.

When he got to the last question, he gave a short answer and left the press room (h/t NBA on ESPN).

Many NBA fans reacted to Redick’s actions.

@MansandNem: “Coaching is going to be a lot harder than he thought. Bro thought he was a basketball genius.”

@casualtakeking: “Not even 10 games into the season and JJ Redick is already storming out of the postgame press conferences.”

@BallLikeRuss: “Streets said he was Pat Riley’s second successor”

@cel_posts: “Omg, be an adult. It wasn’t even a messed up question.”

@GGMU05: “It hasn’t even gotten difficult yet. Wait until they lose to the Nuggets, Warriors, Mavs and Celtics.”

@DaGoaT_100: “I guess he’s finally realizing that podcasters can’t be trainers. The victories were probably due to his assistant coaches. But don’t be sad, he’s doing his best.”

@Golden302311: “Lol we’re not even 10 games into the season and he’s already done it 😭😭😭”

@Handicapper24K: “But I thought the Lakers won the championship after three games and had the “best coach” in team history 🤣🤣🤣”

Redick is in his first season at the helm of the Lakers.

They will return to action on Friday night when they return home to host the Philadelphia 76ers in Los Angeles.
