NBA Summary: Big names help Bucks end their losing streak

Damian Lillard scored 34 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo collected 31 points and a game-high 16 rebounds to help the host Milwaukee Bucks to a 123-100 victory over the Utah Jazz on Thursday night.

Lillard also had seven assists for Milwaukee, which led the team to a six-game losing streak. Bobby Portis scored 19 points as a reserve for the Bucks.

Jordan Clarkson led Utah with 18 points off the bench. Collin Sexton scored 14 points and seven assists for the Jazz, who won their previous game after dropping their first six assists.

Lillard and Antetokounmpo combined for 22 of the Bucks’ 31 points in the third period, which ended with Milwaukee leading 88-77. The Bucks were ahead by at least 11 points throughout the fourth period.

Timberwolves 135, Bulls 119

Anthony Edwards scored a game-high 33 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, and Julius Randle added 22 points and 10 rebounds as Minnesota cruised past visiting Chicago.

Rudy Gobert had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Timberwolves, who outscored the Bulls 45-24 in the fourth quarter to win for the third time in four games. Chicago has lost four straight.

Nikola Vucevic (25 points) and Coby White (24) led Chicago, which was outrebounded 40-33.

Spurs 118, Trail Blazers 105

Malaki Branham and Keldon Johnson each scored 17 points off the bench as San Antonio used a highly balanced attack to defeat visiting Portland.

Eight players scored in double figures for San Antonio, ending a two-game losing streak. Zach Collins, Stephon Castle and Julian Champagnie each had 14 points, while Victor Wembanyama had 12, Harrison Barnes 11 points and Blake Wesley 10 points. Johnson grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Deandre Ayton and Jerami Grant led the Trail Blazers with 21 points each. Ayton contributed 10 rebounds as Portland suffered its third loss in four games.
