“One Rounder”… Mark Wahlberg thinks Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul will be too quick if “Iron Mike” can pull one off

Hollywood superstar Mark Wahlberg is a big fan of fights and believes Mike Tyson may be able to turn back the years when he returns to the ring.

The A-list actor donned the gloves himself to play legendary boxer Micky Ward in 2010’s The Fighter. And he has developed a friendship with heavyweight star “Iron Mike,” who fights Jake Paul on Friday night.

Many people doubt his boxing comeback, even though he is now 58 years old. But Wahlberg figures he may have one last quick-fire knockout left in him, and if he pulls that off, it could be a tough night for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Mike Tyson trained six hours a day for his comeback fight against Jake Paul

The main issue many have with Mike Tyson’s comeback is his age and the condition his body appears to be in. He turned 58 this summer and took part in professional competitions for the last time in 2005, in the meantime he took part in two exhibitions.

Paul is now 27 years old and has been actively competing since Tyson faced Roy Jones Jr. in Run Out in 2020. The pair were scheduled to compete on July 20, but an ulcer flare that became so severe that the legendary champion feared for his life cost them a few months’ postponement.

However, “Iron Mike” is now in phenomenal shape and trains six hours a day. “The closer the fight gets, the less nervous I get,” Tyson told Jimmy Kimmel during a promotional appearance in September. “I train extremely hard.

“I start at 11 a.m. and leave the gym maybe at 5 p.m. There is a small pause. After I finish boxing, I get a massage for an hour, but then I go straight into strength and conditioning exercises. I smoked [marijuana]but not in the foreseeable future. I’m going to be so high on life.”

Mark Wahlberg believes Mike Tyson can quickly knock out Jake Paul again

Hollywood star Wahlberg is confident Tyson can weather the years and deliver Paul another highlight-reel knockout. He looked at the legendary heavyweight in his prime and disagreed with the assessment that the fights did not offer “value for money” given their short length.

And he believes it will be very bad news for Paul if Tyson can bring out “the old Mike” for one final run. “Look, I’d like to see the old Mike again,” he told Clocked N Loaded at the opening of his new restaurant in Las Vegas.

“I just hope no one gets hurt. I used to watch Mike, pay for pay-per-view and people would complain, “Oh, it was only one round, it wasn’t worth it!” I always made my money watching him .

“Mike is a dear friend and hopefully he stays healthy and does the old Mike thing again.” Although he is confident about the result, Wahlberg claimed that he is not playing and therefore will not bet any money on his buddy.
