One was killed and another was seriously injured in an accident near New England, North Dakota

NEW ENGLAND, N.D. (KFYR) – A 58-year-old woman from New England, North Dakota was killed and a 76-year-old Amidon man was seriously injured in a crash around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the woman was driving an SUV south on Highway 22 while the man was driving north in a pickup truck.

According to authorities, the woman lost control due to ice on a bridge outside New England, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the pickup truck.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported by ambulance to a hospital in Dickinson.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the woman, unlike the man, was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash is still under investigation.
