Truck title contender Ty Majeski plans to appeal NASCAR’s fine for missing a voting media event

Ty Majeski did not attend Media Content Day in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday because he was in Wisconsin to vote in person.

Heim almost overcame a restart violation that dropped him out of the top 15 with less than 50 laps to go. He fought his way into second place, but Majeski pulled away on the final restart with 27 laps to go.

Christian Eckes finished third as the title contenders went 1-2-3. Grant Enfinger, the other championship contender, finished fifth. Nick Sanchez was the best non-championship driver with fourth place.

Majeski was a member of the 2016-17 NASCAR Next Class promising young riders including Noah Gragson, Harrison Burton and Todd Gilliland.

Majeski raced in the Xfinity Series with Roush Fenway Racing in 2018 alongside Chase Briscoe and Austin Cindric. Roush closed its Xfinity program after that season, forcing Majeski to look elsewhere for a ride.

In 2020, he drove 15 truck races for Niece Motorsports and then moved to ThorSport Racing as an engineer in 2021, where he only competed in four races. He returned to a full-time schedule in 2022 and has been active on the series full-time ever since.

“There are a lot of times in my career where this seems like a distant dream, and Duke and Rhonda (Thorson) really gave me my third chance after two chances I didn’t have,” Majeski said. “Man, I can’t thank them enough.”
