Positive ball player: KD and Nurkic help Phoenix win over Miami

Roberry. I’m pretty sure I’m committing it now. Why do I say this? Because I steal. Steal an idea.

SB Nation’s Philadelphia 76ers page does something I’d like to start with here on the Bright Side. After each game, they had their community vote for their “Sixers Bell Ringer,” essentially their player of the game. They propose three options, let the community vote on them, and then track them game by game. It’s not a foreign idea. We do it after every game on the Suns JAM Session Podcast and call it the “JAM Star of the Game.”

I love this idea. I’ll steal it.

I hope to have it ready the morning after each Phoenix Suns game for you to vote on, although I’m still working on coming up with names for this concept. Positive player? Suns MVP? The guy we liked?

So I’ll start with a general title and move on, but let’s talk about the guys from last night’s 115-112 win over the Miami Heat. Your nominees are…

Kevin Durant

32 points (13 of 23, 4 of 11 3PT), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 6 turnovers, -1 +/-

Yusuf Nurkic

20 points (6-of-8, 3-of-3 3PT), 18 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 2 turnovers, +5 +/-

Vote below and let me know what you think of this idea.
