“Preacher’s Signs Angers Students on Texas Campus”.

Signs reading “Gay sex is sin” and “Women are property” angered students at Texas State University on Tuesday, November 6, dozens of whom gathered to protest those holding them.

The footage shows tensions rising on campus as someone confronts the protesters and asks: “Women are property? Who do I belong to?”

According to The University Star, protesters attracted a crowd of “at least 100 students” shortly after arriving on campus.

According to the report, the protesters were members of the Official Street Preachers, a Christian news outlet.

Texas State University told the college newspaper that the institution is required by state law to uphold freedom of expression in public areas, “even though such statements may understandably offend some members of our campus community.” Photo credit: Storyful via Storyful
