Juventus fought back to secure a Champions League draw in Lille on Tuesday evening Dusan Vlahovic scored his 50th goal for the club by subsequently converting a penalty Francisco Conceicao fell on the grass.

Despite only picking up one point, Juve are within two of the top eight halfway through the new competition League phasewhich means they stay in the game and automatically advance to the round of 16.

However, the Bianconeri only occupy sixth place the Serie A tableafter losing some momentum recently.

Thiago MottaBarcelona’s men trailed by two in a frantic Derby d’Italia before being held to a 4-4 draw by Inter Milan late last month. They then came from behind twice and picked up a point against newly promoted Parma.

Last week they steadied the ship with a 2-0 win over Udinese and remained the only unbeaten team in Italy’s top flight – despite drawing more than half of their 11 league games so far.

Since the beginning of April, Juventus has not lost once in 19 Serie A games – a dozen of which ended in a draw – and is currently in the longest unbeaten streak of all five of Europe’s top leagues.

They also kept 12 clean sheets in that run, including a 0-0 draw with Torino – their first failure to beat their old foes since 2022.

Such was Toro’s subservience in the Derby della Mole that they have recorded 13 defeats and no wins in their last 18 Serie A away games against Juventus.

Current form also suggests they face an uphill battle to get anything out of Saturday’s game: after last week’s 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina, Paolo VanoliThe Barcelona team failed to pick up a point in the last three games.

Vanoli, who had previously been praised for his good start in Turin, now faces criticism for his side’s subsequent fall in the table. Not only did they lose five out of six in the league, but they were also knocked out of the Coppa Italia.

Torino’s last two defeats resulted in no scoring and a season-ending injury to their captain and main scorer Duvan Zapata has certainly seen a dip in penalty area performance.

Nevertheless: After only just remaining in the top half of Serie A after eleven rounds of games, the Granata could now improve their game against their bitterest rivals.

We say: Juventus 2-0 Turin

Juventus have conceded the fewest total shots (93) and on goal (27) in Serie A, while Turin have conceded the most goals overall (188).

That points to a comfortable home win for derby-dominant Juve, who will surely need to keep another clean sheet against Toro’s faltering attack.
