Rainy end to Wednesday, a few showers into Thursday with the cold continuing | November 13, 2024 – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Rain has been falling in Indiana since midday today, reaching the Indy metro at 5 p.m.

It will be wet tonight and there will be some rain until Thursday. More rain is expected next week, with the possibility of much more cooling.

Wednesday evening: Widespread rain and periods of increased activity are expected for much of the night.

Temperatures will remain consistently in the upper 40s to lower 50s until the night. Winds will continue to be breezy with gusts up to 20-25 mph.

Thursday: Don’t expect it to be completely dry on Thursday. We will still be keeping an eye on the chance of spotty to isolated showers for a good portion of the day.

Rainfall totals Wednesday night through Thursday could be between 1 and 2 inches in areas primarily south of Interstate 70.

It will be difficult to get highs into the mid 50s as skies will be mostly to mostly cloudy.

Friday: There should be a little more sunshine at the end of the working week. However, due to light northerly winds just enough to keep our temperatures low, highs won’t climb back into the mid 50s.

7 day forecast: Temperatures will eventually climb back into the 60s by Sunday. Further chances of rain are possible early next week. Then we start to watch for a major shift to colder air by midweek next week. There is some uncertainty about how everything will pan out, but there could be a sharp drop in temperatures next week.
