Rapper Jaydes on the run after being accused of attempted murder

Underground rapper Jayden Yen Dumont, known by his stage names Jaydes and Evvls, is at the center of a controversy after rumors surfaced that he is currently evading authorities for his alleged involvement in a murder attempt.

The 18-year-old Florida artist, who began his music journey on SoundCloud in 2020 and gained underground fame with singles like “Slugs” and “Scam Likely,” is accused of assaulting a young woman after she allegedly rejected his advances.

An Instagram account, ExposedJaydes, reportedly shared details from Jaydes’ ex-girlfriend, including graphic descriptions of the alleged incident. The victim reportedly said in messages, “He kissed me and I pushed him away, said no to sleeping with him, and he came back with scissors and a box cutter and started stabbing me.”

The alleged victim added that she fled to the bathroom and called 911. She claimed Jaydes fled before police arrived. According to her, she suffered injuries to her neck, arm and back.

Following the incident, Jaydes’ Instagram account, which currently has over 100,000 followers, was deleted and no longer contains any posts. Since then, social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter), has been flooded with speculation about his whereabouts as users react to the alarming allegations against the aspiring rapper.

Jaydes’ previous controversies are also resurfacing, further fueling the current fire. In August last year, he was embroiled in a separate scandal in Los Angeles in which he allegedly sent messages to two underage girls while misrepresenting his age.

According to rumors, although Jaydes was 17 years old, he claimed to be 16 years old to one of the 14 year old girls he later met and allegedly became inappropriately involved with. The incident sparked significant backlash at the time and has added to the negative reaction to recent allegations.

Currently, Jaydes has not made a public response to the allegations nor has he been arrested.
