Real Madrid 4-0 Osasuna (November 9, 2024) Match analysis

Real Madrid striker Vinícius Júnior scored a hat-trick to help the LaLiga champions snap a two-match winning streak in all competitions with a comfortable 4-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday.

The Brazil international opened the scoring in the 34th minute after confidently using a pass from Jude Bellingham to avoid the offside trap and firing an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Sergio Herrera.

Bellingham regained his goal-scoring instincts by scoring his first goal of the season eight minutes later with a brilliant finish, lofting the ball over the goalkeeper and extending Real’s lead.

Vinicius rounded off the home team’s victory with goals in the 61st and 69th minutes to help second-placed Madrid to a 27-point lead, six points behind leaders Barcelona. Osasuna is fifth with 21 points.

Madrid’s day was marred by injuries to Éder Militão and Rodrygo, who both missed the first half. Lucas Vázquez was also substituted at half-time in what appeared to be a knock, compounding Madrid’s injury problems.
