Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham finally scores his first goal of the season

Jude Bellingham is finally off the mark for Real Madrid this season.

After scoring 19 La Liga goals in his debut season with Real Madrid, the England international started his 2024-25 campaign without scoring in his first 12 appearances in all competitions. In his last chance to get on the scoresheet before the November international break, Bellingham finally scored his long-awaited goal.

Raul Asencio, the Real Madrid Castilla player who came on for the injured Éder Militão, caught Bellingham with a beautiful ball over the goal line in the 41st minute. The midfielder let the ball bounce once before firing it over Sergio Herrera and into the net with a touch of his right foot.

The relief was written all over Bellingham’s face as he celebrated with the madridistas cheering him on at the Santiago Bernabéu. He celebrated his trademark and then kissed the badge.

The goal sent Real Madrid into the tunnel with a 2-0 lead over Osasuna. Vinícius Júnior scored the opening goal for the home team in the 34th minute with a brilliant individual performance, supported by Bellingham.

The early goals were desperately needed for Real Madrid; In the last two defeats against Barcelona and AC Milan, Carlo Ancelotti’s team failed to score a single goal from play.
