Rick Scott says Marco Rubio is supporting him in the election for Senate majority leader

Rubio hasn’t officially spoken out yet, but Scott says he’s working behind the scenes to help.

Florida senators are united when it comes to who should lead the Republican caucus.

That’s Sen’s opinion. Rick Scott on Friday, expressing confidence that Florida’s senior Sen Marco Rubio will support his second bid for GOP leader in two years.

“He will help me. I spoke to Marco today. He was out there and did it. He will continue to support me. He knows how important it is to achieve something. That’s why he will do everything he can to help me. He helped me a lot with my choice. And he’s going to help get us that vote,” the Naples Republican said Mark Levin Show.

Although Rubio hasn’t officially announced his choice to the public, he has nothing but good things to say about his Naples colleague.

“Actually my colleague from home state Rick Scott is in the running. I’m a big fan of his. I think he would do a good job,” Rubio said during one back in June TV interviewalthough he qualified his comments by saying he would not weigh in on the race until after Tuesday’s election.

“It’s not just about what he did in the Senate. He has done this before as governor. People remember. He’s always present, he’s always there, he’s always engaged,” Rubio said during an event in October Radio interview.

When Scott challenged the outgoing leader Mitch McConnell After the 2022 midterms, Rubio was not among the 10 Republicans who broke away from permanent political politics in Kentucky to support his hometown colleague.

Everything could be different in 2024, it seems.
