Road closures are expected ahead of this weekend’s Madison Marathon

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – With the Madison Marathon taking place this weekend, the city is preparing residents for road closures.

Officials said runners would run Sunday through the UW Arboretum, Vilas Park, around Lake Monona and back to the Capitol.

Traffic will be allowed to pass if there are gaps among runners, Madison officials said.

The full marathon and half marathon start at 7:30 a.m. and end around 1:30 p.m

Runners participating in the 10K run will start at 7:15 a.m
