Rolls-Royce driver on the run after hit-and-run accident in Van Nuys – NBC Los Angeles

The search is underway for the driver of a Rolls Royce who fled the scene of an accident in Van Nuys after driving alongside a Mercedes at a high rate of speed.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, four people were hospitalized after a multi-car rollover crash Friday evening. The incident was reported on West Sherman Circle near Sherman Way just before 10 p.m.

Before the accident, a Mercedes and a Rolls Royce were racing side by side when the Mercedes crashed into a Chevy Traverse turning on Sherman Circle. According to police, the driver of the Honda was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene of the accident, but the driver of the Rolls-Royce crashed into another vehicle and flew away. The driver of the car the Rolls-Royce crashed into was also taken to hospital. The severity of this person’s injuries is unclear.

Police did not confirm whether the two luxury vehicles were street racing.
