Jason Kelce’s interaction with a Penn State fan over the weekend seemed to strike a chord with me New Orleans Saints Defensive player Khalen Saunders.

Saunders, whose brother is a backup dancer Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” defended Kelce on social media on Tuesday after the former NFL center was seen smashing the phone of a fan who used a homophobic slur attacking Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce.

“My brother! I have been dealing with this problem for many years. You do NOT need to apologize for defending your brother in any situation,” Saunders wrote.

“You truly are one of the greatest men in this world. And that lame friend didn’t need a phone anymore anyway. & Happy Bday Champ.”

Jason Kelce broke his silence on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” after he was seen in multiple videos smashing the phone of a fan who was screaming at him: “How does it feel that your brother is a f***ing dude.” who is dating Taylor Swift?”

In one video, Kelce appears to walk away with the phone. In another instance, when the man demands the phone back, Kelce appears to respond, “Who’s the devil now?”

Kelce apologized for his actions on Monday.

“Look, I’m not happy with anything that happened. I’m not proud of it, and in a heated moment I decided to answer hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing to do. I really don’t think it creates a discourse, and it’s the right way to approach things. At that moment I fell into a moment I shouldn’t have.

“So, I think the bottom line is that I try to live my life by the golden rule – that’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with decency and respect, and I will continue to do that.” Moving forward, even though I fell short this week, that’s what I will do in the future and will continue to do that.
