Salma Hayek reveals she hasn’t signed a prenup with her billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault

Actress Salma Hayek revealed details about her financial arrangements with her husband, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault, in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal.

The couple, who married in 2009, did not sign a prenup and Hayek had separate finances throughout the marriage. Hayek, who is known for her roles in films and her philanthropic efforts, shared that she is often motivated to grow her own wealth independent of her billionaire husband.

“I support many aspects of my life and myself,” Hayek explained, adding, “I’m under pressure to make a certain amount of money and I like that.” And now I’ve decided I want to do more. Despite Pinault’s net worth of around $21.8 billion, Hayek emphasized her desire to build her own financial success. As her daughter Valentina approaches adulthood, the actress noted that she is exploring business ventures, but details remain secret. She added that Pinault supported her ambitions, saying, “I think he finds it kind of sexy.”

In addition to acting, Hayek is also actively involved in philanthropy and devotes a lot of time to the Kering Foundation, which focuses on combating gender-based violence. She recently played a key role in organizing New York’s annual fundraising dinner, which raised nearly $3 million.

Although Hayek came from a wealthy background, she experienced financial problems early in her career after her family lost their fortune. Her marriage to Pinault changed public perception and led many to focus on her wealth. “The exciting thing about having a lot of money was that I didn’t have to think about money,” she said, although she admitted it attracted the attention of strangers who saw her as part of an exclusive social circle.
