Schedule for the top 5 must-watch college football games of Week 11

We’ve reached Week 11 of the college football season and are nearing the finish line. The first edition of the College Football Playoff rankings is out, giving each game a little more meaning.

There are a lot of really good games this weekend, but which are the best? Here at Newsweek sportwe are there for you.

Here are the five most-watched games on this weekend’s matchup slate.

5. No. 23 Clemson @ Virginia Tech

After a slow start to the year, the Tigers put in a strong performance. Dabo Swinney’s group has found some traction and Clemson is coming in to make a push for the playoffs late in the season.

They have a somewhat winnable schedule moving forward, but this game in Blacksburg will be a test. The Virginia Tech fan base is one of the best, so the Tigers have to be wary of an upset.

4. No. 20 Colorado @ Texas Tech

The Buffalos are 6-2 this season and have a chance to do something special if they can continue their success. Despite all the noise outside, the Buffaloes kept their heads down and just played football.

The road to Lubbock will be a challenge as the Red Raiders will be playing for this game. But if they can get off to a quick start and calm fans down, it could be a good week for Colorado.

3. No. 9 BYU vs. Utah

This rivalry game will have a slightly different feel this time around as the Cougars are the top team coming into the game. BYU is not yet selected this year as they travel to Salt Lake City for this matchup.

The Utes would love to be the first team to give them a loss, but BYU is a strong team. They won’t go down without a fight and one of the better rivalries in college football will be great to watch.

2. No. 11 Alabama vs. No. 15 LSU

This could be the game of the weekend, but it ends up in second place because both teams were so inconsistent. Some weeks LSU looks like a team that could contend for a title, while other weeks they perform extremely flat.

The same goes for the Crimson Tide, but a win over Georgia kept them alive in the race. Whoever wins this game has a great chance of making the playoffs, and this rivalry game is all about bragging rights.

1. No. 3 Georgia @ No. 16 Ole Miss

The Bulldogs had a few close calls this season when they traveled to Oxford to take on the Rebels. Ole Miss can still make the playoffs if they can win some games like this so they are ready for the challenge.

Georgia has looked very good in the second half of games, so it will be up to the Rebels to make adjustments as time goes on. We could be in for an entertaining matchup if Ole Miss can get the energy level up early.
