Sean McVay ends the press conference with one word to describe the Rams’ offense

Sean McVay isn’t happy with the way his offense played on Monday night. It wouldn’t be a coach. They totaled 327 yards of offense, but for the second time in Matthew Stafford’s tenure, the Rams failed to score a single touchdown.

Their 23-15 loss to the Dolphins was disappointing and potentially costly, leaving them once again at 4-5 and under .500. During his postgame press conference, McVay was asked what he was feeling in real time during the game, and “frustration” was the first word that came to mind.

The media’s final question for him was to evaluate and describe the state of the Rams offense.

He gave one word: “Inconsistent.”

He wasn’t storming off by any means, but he was clearly frustrated with his offense’s performance – as he should be.

After scoring 30 points against the Vikings and 26 against the Seahawks in the last two weeks, the Rams were held to five field goals and just 15 points.

Matthew Stafford was sacked four times, hit six times and the Dolphins recorded seven tackles, with one interception and two forced fumbles leading to a loss.

There was a bad snap that went over Stafford’s head, a lost fumble by Kyren Williams, a drop by Puka Nacua and poor play by Joe Noteboom at right tackle, to say the least. There were far too many mistakes across the board in a game that was very winnable thanks to another strong showing from the Rams defense.
