Several Phoenix Suns could miss the Kings game

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns take on the Sacramento Kings for the second straight game tonight after defeating the Utah Jazz 120-112 last night.

Phoenix’s 9-2 start to the season was marked by narrow wins, a confusing injury situation and a significant shift in team philosophy – but it was particularly interesting to see how coach Mike Budenholzer managed to maneuver the various periods of absence Roster.

The head coach may have to work his magic again tonight, as the official injury report the team released this afternoon doesn’t appear to be particularly encouraging against a quality opponent like the Kings.

Jusuf Nurkic has disappeared from the report after missing the second half of Sunday night’s game against Sacramento and last night’s matchup with the Jazz, but his status was also up in the air yesterday. He’ll be ready to go tonight

Allen appeared in the report after making himself clear over the last two weeks or so – it will be interesting to keep an eye on this.

Beal had battled numerous arm injuries since the start of the season before suffering lower-body ailments in recent days. It remains to be seen whether the guard can overcome a calf strain.

Gillespie suffered a broken ankle over the weekend while playing for the Valley Suns – so there won’t be a game in the near future for the two-way guard.

Durant should be re-evaluated in about 10 days and could return to action soon after, but is out for now.

Malik Monk is out for Sacramento with a right ankle sprain he suffered in Sunday’s game between the two teams – this could be a huge development for the Kings, who lack great scoring opportunities without Monk on the bench.

The Suns-Kings will play tonight shortly after 8:00 p.m. (Arizona time).
