So-called “Kraken” attorney Sidney Powell was ordered to provide Dominion Voting Systems with various and material documents in a discovery order issued by a federal court on Friday.

In that case, the voting machine company filed the first lawsuit against Powell in January 2021 – claiming that the Texas-based attorney defamed the company by claiming they “rigged the election, Dominion was founded in Venezuela to manipulate elections.” for Hugo Chávez, and that Dominion bribed Georgian officials for a no-bid contract.”

Since then, several additional plaintiffs, counterclaimants, defendants, and plaintiffs have filed motions in no fewer than eight related cases. Along the way, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani were also sued. Another voting machine manufacturer, Smartmatic, also filed some lawsuits.

As the procedural nature of the matter became increasingly complex, complicated and unwieldy, the D.C. District Court found in March of this year that various parties and cases had “conspired and/or voluntarily coordinated to make disclosures in connection with this litigation.”
